introducing alex

big news! alex is going to be a new facet to this blog :)
she goes to school here with me at nyu and is a music theatre major.
she's originally from chicago, and she has amazing clothes.

this fall while i'm updating from paris, she'll hopefully be updating from new york. she just needs a camera first. i just bought the canon s95 as a point & shoot camera since it's not always easy to bring my 7D around with me. i like it so far! any suggestions for other good point and shoots? (we decided s95 over g12 for sleekness)

anyway, my last day of school is on thursday and i have to write a 15 to 20 page paper about my internship! so i might be MIA for a few days.

xx

How much did the 7D cost you? Anyway have a nice few last days of school! I can't wait to see what Alex will post.

I love the quality of your photos. What lens do you use on your 7D?

i split the cost of the camera with my parents as a christmas gift, so luckily it wasn't tooo much, but we paid full price. i'm not sure what exactly that is right now. and thanks!
and i use a 50mm 1.4 most of the time :)
thanks!

hi :) i love your photographs, i saw all on your flickr. i was wondering if you do photoshoots for customers - normal people. and how much it costs?

i do, and it depends on the shoot. feel free to email me if you're interested :)

I love the 7D as well! Since it's to big to carry around, ive been looking for a small point and shoot to take around more. Im looking into a Panasonic Lumix GF2. Your friend should look into this, depending on her price range.

I had a long debate on the S95/LX5 and eventually bought a M4/3. For point and shoots other than the S95 there is the Panasonic LX5 / Leica d-lux 5 (same camera pretty much, cool styling on both), sigma dp1/2, Fujifilm x100 and a few more. The S95 is the most compact but if you always carry a decent sized purse the LX5 or even a M4/3 would be a better bet I think.

I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of
your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got
to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
