last day in paris

jeremie and i bought a christmas tree on friday and spent all day doing christmasy things. we lounged around and watched back to the future and pretty woman and we ate foie gras and opened presents. he got me the best and most comfy winter coat ever from surface to air.
i just got back to new york and will be relaxing here for a few days before traveling around again for the holidays!

this is my last week in paris, i leave on saturday. i can't believe it went by so quickly! i'm going back to new york, then wisconsin for the holidays, then new york for new years then back to paris for a few weeks in january before the semester starts in new york.

burberry party

Thursday night I went to the party for the new Burberry store opening, and wrote about it for Vogue.com (read my article here)! It was held at the British Embassy and was one of the most beautiful parties I've been to. The rules for taking photos were strict, so i only got a few on my phone and a few on my camera that definitely don't do it justice…

thanksgiving

NYU made up for the fact that we had classes on thanksgiving with a dinner for everyone at the restaurant on the eiffel tower. i have a ton of photos to go through from the past few weeks, but i've been catching up on all the sleep and work i missed out on while i was in new york, which was a hectic trip to say the least. it's good to be back in paris.

normandie

my parents and i went to normandie this weekend to visit the foreign exchange student that we had when i was about 12, and her family. she has a beautiful house in the country, and her family has a beautiful house in the city. so french and so perfect. we ate well, drank well, and had a lot of fun. we went to the market to buy food for a big lunch, and we went to a cute harbor-town nearby too. lots of photos to go through, maybe i'll have time tomorrow since i've got the day off for toussaints day! i've got a photoshoot planned on friday too with my friend katherin! can't wait!

wednesday

i finally got my allsaints boots cleaned and fixed! they got destroyed when i was at lollapalooza. strangely, they're now shiny and black—much different than when i bought them in their classic allsaints grungy style (here's how they began).
anyway, i can't believe i only have a month and three weeks left in paris…then i'm heading back to new york before going home to wisconsin for the holidays!

monday

i got a new lens, the canon 24-70mm 2.8 and i love it! the ability to be at f/2.8 at 70mm is great, and i love how it makes the wide angle shots look too :) so expect much more frequent posts and pictures!
we've been watching movies almost every night, so i finally saw catch me if you can, blow, studio 54 (which made me super jealous that my boss went to the party there last week!!) and more.
i also went to the fiac (an international art exhibition) at grand palais and found a bunch of cool art, which i'll make a post about soon!
