just thought i'd post a few things i've been liking a lot lately. i just got the flower hairclips from h&m and love wearing them with my hair up. the sunglasses are from 80spurple.com 80s collection, the lipstick is MAC ruby woo (bright red), the shirt is h&m, the key was actually a key from my grandpa's house that I put on a chain, and the nail polish is american apparel in "summer peach." and i pulled my camera out because i need to start shooting more film!!

i've had them on repeat all week. the whole album is beyond amazing.

katrina is visiting me for the weekend and we got brunch at café orlin in the east village this morning. later we're planning on seeing the bill cunningham documentary, which looks great. yesterday we went shopping and i found these amazing leggings/pants at topshop in the "last chance to buy" section. i'm in love.
the other day at work i got to shoot a few models for the new "model wall" and while i was waiting for them i snapped a few pictures inside the editors office. i also put together a little video of the girls that will hopefully be posted on the site, otherwise i'll post it here soon!

thursday

we've had this hat in my house forever and i always thought it was so stupid until i realized i actually liked it.
i'm back from arizona now and getting a lot done this week for school and work, and my friend is in town for the weekend! last night i brought her to a clothing line launch party and this weekend we've got lots of plans for fun things.

monday - london show rooms

today i got to go see the london show rooms in the soho grand hotel because i was assisting a shoot. i had to get there at 7am to start setting up, and it was pouring rain outside which was unfortunate because the event took place in the penthouse which had a gorgeous deck. it was a fun event though, and i got to take home one of the david koma bags for the british designer collab with the british fashion council.

another nice day in new york! 57º out, probably still too cold for shorts, but i survived. i'm packing and cleaning today since tomorrow i fly to arizona for a week! i'm very ready for warm weather and sunshine.
i got this shirt about two years ago and rarely wear it, so i decided it was time. also, this amazing rag & bone blazer is my friend alex's, and i think i need to get one of my own. i love it.
i also got my hair trimmed yesterday. it feels so soft and great now, and hopefully it'll lighten up a bit in arizona.

friday

last night i got to shoot the grand opening of the mondrian hotel. the night started out pretty horribly, because i lost my wallet on the way there. luckily someone picked it up and i got it back today, but i freaked out for a good hour, and on top of that, i've never experienced a rainstorm so violent, and by the time i got to the party i was soaking wet, because i lived way too close to take a taxi. but it got better quickly. there was a special performance by the kills which made me love them even more, and now i'm even more excited to see them play again on saturday night! there were a lot of fun people at the party, and lots of cool grungy clothes. i love those studded boots, and that leather tassel jacket. the afterparty was at Mr. H, which is part of the hotel, and which is where i took the photo of that amazing neon sign.

saturday

i woke up today to the sun shining in and an email telling me i didnt have to go in to work today! it's 60º out in new york today too which is great.
yesterday i found out that i was accepted to the paris study abroad program! which was a relief since only about half the applicant get accepted. I'll be moving out there in late august and staying till december. i can't wait!
