we just got back from a long 12 days in cannes for the film fest. I shot and covered a few parties for vogue (amfar gala, de grisogono, and trophee chopard), and jeremie djd a bunch of events. I got to see lana del rey (amazing), taio cruz, fun., jessie j, and a few other cool performances while I was there. we were so busy and exhausted that we haven't gotten to see any of the movies yet, but we'll get to that this week. also, I got a canon 5d mark ii just before I came to paris, and I love it more than anything in the world.

on my way to paris I had an afternoon to explore london. I haven't been there since I was about 12, and all I really remembered was rain, and of course it was rainy and cold again. I only had enough time to get in some really british activities before my train to paris, so i went to topshop (which is way better in london than it is in new york!) and then bummed around soho before meeting up with my friend for fish and chips and tea at soho house. the feel of london reminds me a lot more of paris than I thought. I really liked it. but paris so far has been great, and on wednesday jeremie and I are leaving to cannes for the film festival. I'm dying to see wes anderson's new movie.
