lush

Can't get enough of this mesh sweatshirt and jacket from Lush! I checked out their showroom of new pieces and already have a million photo shoot ideas brewing in my head… I've been DJing a ton lately and also shooting a bit for a new book that Alicia who runs the raw book is releasing early next year. Sadly I can't post the full shoots until the book is released but maybe a sneak preview sometime soon…

fjallraven store opening (and meatballs)

photos by patrick macleod

Last night I dj'd the new soho flagship store opening party for Fjallraven! It was an awesome event, and the only one I've ever been to where the ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted using an axe and tree stump, and meatballs existed. I also got to spin a different set than usual, and threw in some country tunes when Fjallraven's favorite racing dog breeder (who lives deep within the arctic circle) requested some. And in honor of Sweden, my song of the day is "Change of Heart" by El Perro Del Mar. It's from a few years back but it's rather perfect for this weather lately…

venice photo diary

I went to Milan last week and Keenan surprised me with train tickets to Venice. I must say, it's touristy to the point of claustrophobia, but we explored to the more local areas and found some amazing spots, and even stumbled upon a cool art gallery. The first bellini was created in Venice at Harry's Bar, which we obviously went to and tried (amazing). I originally was dying to go on a gondola, but we noticed that no one on a gondola was smiling or looked even remotely happy, so we opted for the water taxi speed boat, which I really wish existed more in my life.
