normandie

my parents and i went to normandie this weekend to visit the foreign exchange student that we had when i was about 12, and her family. she has a beautiful house in the country, and her family has a beautiful house in the city. so french and so perfect. we ate well, drank well, and had a lot of fun. we went to the market to buy food for a big lunch, and we went to a cute harbor-town nearby too. lots of photos to go through, maybe i'll have time tomorrow since i've got the day off for toussaints day! i've got a photoshoot planned on friday too with my friend katherin! can't wait!

wednesday

i finally got my allsaints boots cleaned and fixed! they got destroyed when i was at lollapalooza. strangely, they're now shiny and black—much different than when i bought them in their classic allsaints grungy style (here's how they began).
anyway, i can't believe i only have a month and three weeks left in paris…then i'm heading back to new york before going home to wisconsin for the holidays!

monday

i got a new lens, the canon 24-70mm 2.8 and i love it! the ability to be at f/2.8 at 70mm is great, and i love how it makes the wide angle shots look too :) so expect much more frequent posts and pictures!
we've been watching movies almost every night, so i finally saw catch me if you can, blow, studio 54 (which made me super jealous that my boss went to the party there last week!!) and more.
i also went to the fiac (an international art exhibition) at grand palais and found a bunch of cool art, which i'll make a post about soon!

sunday - luxembourg gardens

went to the luxembourg gardens today with my parents and had a little picnic in the sun. the whole day i thought it was saturday…

saturday - fur coat!

here are some pics of my new fur coat!! it's finally cold enough to wear it. my parents are visiting and so we've been trying a bunch of great food and desserts and doing some shopping. this week i have a few midterms then my parents and i are gonna go visit some friends in normandie next weekend :)
